North Hills CCC Philosophy & Educational Approach

At North Hills Child Care Center, we are deeply committed to providing excellent early childhood education grounded in Christian values and current research. We believe that the early years are a precious time of rapid growth and learning, and we embrace the privilege and responsibility of partnering with families during this foundational period. Our work is guided by our faith, informed by our knowledge of child development, and inspired by the unique gifts of each child in our care.

We recognize that everything we do—from the way we design our environments to the words we speak to children, from our curriculum choices to our policies and procedures—communicates our values and shapes children’s experiences. We are intentional about creating a program where children feel loved and valued, where they develop confidence and competence, where they experience the joy of learning, and where they begin to understand what it means to be part of God’s family.

Our philosophy is not a static document but a living guide that shapes our daily practice. We revisit and refine our approaches based on new research, feedback from families and staff, and our ongoing observations of children’s learning. We are committed to excellence, equity, and continuous improvement in all aspects of our program.

Above all, we are called to love the children in our care as Jesus loves them—unconditionally, patiently, and with boundless hope for who they are becoming. This calling guides everything we do at North Hills Child Care Center.
