Favorite Bible Verse: The one I’m preaching on that week!

What are you up to when you aren’t at North Hills?

Mowing lawns:  I mow my lawn, and three of my neighbors!  I love it!  Text me:  I’ll be over to mow your lawn, too!

What makes North Hills special?

North Hills is a unique, authentic community that’s in a class all by itself.  I love the people, the love, the mission, communion services, the worship.  And I love answering questions about the wheat sculpture! 🙂

Favorite Bible Verse: Matthew 17:20

What are you up to when you aren’t at North Hills?

My husband and I like to work around the house.  I also like to spend time with my family, friends and read.  If the weather is nice, you will find me on my deck reading a book and watching the birds play in my pond’s waterfall.

What makes North Hills special?

The people are what makes North Hills special.

Favorite Bible Verse:

Philippians 2:9–11

What are you up to when you aren’t at North Hills?

When I am not at North Hills, I am probably spending quality time with my wife or my friends, thinking about the next choir anthem or social media series, or writing about Stoic philosophy.

What makes North Hills special?

“North Hills” is synonymous with community. A church isn’t a building, it is a people, and North Hills is always people-first.

Mary Baker, Organist

Favorite Bible Verse: Micah 6:8

What are you up to when you aren’t at North Hills?

David and I love to travel, especially to be involved with grandchildren in Kalamazoo, Vermont, and Brooklyn, NY.  We also relish being part of Dearborn, walking our neighborhood and exploring the culture and diversity of SE-MI.

I like to shop at thrift stores to help supply CAP (Community Assistance Program), a ministry close to our hearts for many decades.

Reading is an ongoing hobby, recent recommendations include Solito and Demon Copperhead.

What makes North Hills special?

North Hills continues to be a fulfilling place to serve as the organist since being “recruited” almost 20 years ago.  Helping plan and lead worship with this congregation who loves to sing is a true gift and a highlight of my week.
