Current Series: Living Generously

It is impossible to live in Christ and not be generous.  Generosity is not only about tithing; it’s also about an open heart that shares all that we have and are with others.  “We are not our own…” and because we belong to Christ we are aware of and serve others’ needs.  That is generosity and it is how Christians live.

We need to be reminded regularly about generous living because it is in our human nature to grasp what we have and strive for more.  We grow dependent on what we have to satisfy our desires and even our necessities.  We even know this is a dead end approach.  One man gives freely, yet gains even more; another withholds unduly, but comes to poverty.  A generous man will prosper; he who refreshes others will himself be refreshed (Prov. 11:24, 25).  Good will come to him who is generous and lends freely, who conducts his affairs with justice (Psalm. 112:5).

North Hills and its members have been richly blessed and frequently demonstrate generous love to others.  Our fall series of adult Sunday School will remind us and encourage us and inspire us to live generously which is one of the great ways in which we constantly give thanks to God.

Growing U, our adult education program, meets most Sundays at 11:00am during our Sunday School Hour.
